Yhordy explains that across their sixteen stores islandwide, Eye Physicians at Eyeland Eyewear are fully trained to "look out"  for the related symptoms through a series of questions asked during an eye exam along with the actual examining of the eye.

 

"As a part of your eye exam, you are required to disclose as much information as possible to assist with your diagnosis."

She shares that not all "eye problems" require a new pair of glasses. "For instance, pregnant women experience a temporary decline in vision that reverts once she gives birth, but that's a different blog for a different box"... chuckles Yhordy

 

Questions you may be asked during an exam are:

 

• Are you on any current medications and if yes what are they?

• Have you noticed any eye problems such as blurry vision, flashes of light, poor night vision, or double vision, or dark spots?

• Does your family have a history of eye problems such as glaucoma or cataracts?

• Is Diabetes, hypertension or high blood pressure also a family problem historically ?
