 5. LA Girl HD Pro Face Matte Pressed Powder

 

This is not a great under eye setting powder but it's perfect for setting your cream contour. The challenge is to find a shade that matches your skin tone. It lasts about 4-6 hours under a normal work day.

 

4. BLK/OPL True Color Ultra Matte Foundation Powder

 

Black Opal now has a new formula and we LURVES the new look. It mattifies like a boss and lasts for about 4-6 hours. Black Opal is black owned and the shades are formulated for women of colour you cannot lose with this powder

 

3. Loreal Infallible Pro Matte Powder

 

This setting powder has been around for some time, it brags about lasting up to 12 hours, but clearly, they didn't come to Jamaica to test that theory. It will last about 6-8 hours. Warning, this powder runs a little orange, especially with the deeper shades.

 

 

2. Maybelline FIT Me Loose Finishing Powder

 

Maybelline is "killing it" these days with 16 shades of their newly formulated setting powder. Drugstore makeup just got aaaawesome. Their new setting powder..... giiiiiiirrrrrrrrlllll, is life.  It pleads, "take my money please'. The formula is smooth and blurs pores like a boss. It lasts for about 6-8 hours. BUY IT full stop!

 

1. Sacha Buttercup Setting Powder

Now if you don't have this in your makeup arsenal, I wouldn't even know what to say to you right now, this is a "must-have"! Sacha Buttercup is powerful stuff. It has the ability to make you feel like you can lift a car, jump from the tallest building, stop world hunger and achieve world peace. This powder upped every woman of colour makeup game. Last for about 6-8 hours closer to the 8-hour mark under a normal days activity.
